Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2

Xiaomi, the Chinese brand, is now offering a connected indoor air purifier Wouldn’t it be great if you could switch on your home air purifier before you get back in the evening? Xiaomi’s first smarthome product in India, the Mi Air Purifier 2, allows the user to do just that—connect with your home Wi-Fi and monitor as well as control functions from anywhere (the Mi Home app; free for Android and iOS).

• The Mi Air Purifier 2 has a high 310m3/h CADR (clean air delivery rate). After 30 minutes of running in a 32.5 sq. m living room, the air quality improved from an unhealthy 123g/m3 of particulate matter (PM), to a much healthier 21 g/m3 PM. In a smaller 19 sq. m room, the air quality improved within 30 minutes, from 91g/m3 to 11g/m3. While cooking, the indoor air quality becomes really bad—our air quality monitor (Forbix Semicon; aroundRs.7,000 on Amazon.in) registered 370 g/m3, and the Mi Air Purifier 2 improved that to just 36μg/m3 in a mere 22 minutes.

Excellent air purification capabilities, well thought-out features and smart connectivity options, the Mi Air Purifier 2 offers all this—though what stands out most perhaps is the price.
